Confused about which of our self-tanning products does what, and exactly where – and how – to use them? We’ve got you, beauties. This top-to-toe Sunny Honey guide will give you the glow down, so you can be ready for your glow up! Here’s everything you need to know about our brand-spanking new tan drops versus our OG Bali Bronzing Foam – including how to combine the two for your Best. Tan. Ever.

Where to use
Face Drops: Face + Neck
Bronzing Foam: Body, but can be used all over too!
Packed with antioxidants and natural hydrators, the self-tanning mousse is non-comedogenic, so it’s totally a-ok to use as a facial tanner. In fact, we recommend you do your face and body tanning at the same time using the foam, then use tan drops whenever you need a top up. (Nervous self-tanning newbie? You might prefer using the Facial Bronzing Drops to gradually build up colour over a few days.)
Tanning drops are also great for achieving an all-over subtle glow on the body. But, to achieve a deep colour, you’d need to use quite a lot of drops. We therefore suggest sticking with the Bali Bronzing Foam for a goddess-like glow, and tanning drops as needed to boost your bronze.

When to use
Face Drops: Daily or as needed
Bronzing Foam: Once or Twice weekly
Have you ever noticed how your face fades faster than the rest of your body when wearing fake tan? Tan drops are your secret weapon to prolong your Sunny Honey tan! Our Facial Bronzing Drops can be used as needed, or even daily for a totally natural, long-lasting glow.
If self-tanning from scratch, you might want to use a couple of drops (say 2-3) to achieve your ideal hue. You can then maintain this colour – and combat the fadeout effect of twice-daily cleansing and chemical exfoliants – by mixing 1 tanning drop into your moisturiser each morning or night. (Note: these numbers are just a guide, and you’ll soon get to know your own golden number ☺)
As for Sunny Honey Bali Bronzing Foam? It’s made for once or twice-weekly application, when you’re after an all-over, top-to-toe glow. Just make sure you thoroughly exfoliate in between to remove any leftover tan. This will help ensure you get the even, natural results our customers go coconuts for!

How to use
Face Drops: Mix drops with moisturiser/serum
Bronzing Foam: Apply directly to skin with tanning accessories
With clever colour guide technology, Sunny Honey Bali Bronzing Foam is best applied to clean, dry skin in front of a mirror in good light. For a super-speedy application and zero streaks, we recommend smoothing it on with our soft velvety tanning mitt for the body, and using a kabuki brush for the face and tricky bits such as hands. Our Bronzing Face Drops, on the other hand, are highly concentrated, and need to be mixed into moisturiser. To use, wash and dry your face, disperse your favourite face cream onto your palm, then add 1-3 tanning drops and mix thoroughly. Apply all over the face, neck and chest, wait a few minutes to allow absorption, then follow with your regular sunscreen and makeup routine.
Use your tan drops morning or evening, whatever suits. Packed with skin-loving botanicals and hydration-boosting hyaluronic acid, they’re the ideal way to supercharge your am or pm skincare! Just be aware they’re not totally transfer-proof, so if using before bed you might consider switching out your favourite silk pillowcase – especially if you’re a side sleeper.

How much to use
Face Drops: Few drops, a little goes a long way
Bronzing Foam: Apply liberally
One of the major differences between our self-tanners lies in the amount you should use. Our self-tanning mousse can be applied in liberal pumps, which makes it great for the body. Tan drops pack a more concentrated punch, meaning only a few drops are required to create a beautiful bronze result on the face and neck. A little goes a long way, so it’s a good idea to err on the side of caution and start with 1-2 drops if you’re very fair.

The major benefits
The biggest benefit of facial tanning drops? Their versatility. They enable you build a totally custom tan – whether you’re wanting just a touch more colour or chasing a deep, golden hue. They’re also super simple to use and can easily be incorporated into your existing skincare regime. You can use a number of drops at once for fast results, or use a drop or 2 a day to build colour gradually.
But when it comes to a natural-looking self-tan for the body, Sunny Honey Bronzing Foam can’t be beat! With all-natural DHA and a green-grey base that delivers ZERO orange tones, it’s the world’s first anti-ageing, anti-cellulite self-tan with zero nasties. All it takes to get you glowing is 2 hours, once a week. So what are you waiting for, honey?
