1. Sleek side part with slides
Glossy, pin-straight strands are one of 2022’s hottest hair trends, and always a good look for a classy V Day date. For a sweet touch, add one or two beaded, jewelled or otherwise blingy hair clips on the opposite side to your part.
Unless you’re naturally blessed with dead-straight strands, this look will ll take some heat styling. It’s therefore important you apply a heat protectant serum (like our Miracle Hair Elixir) before coaxing your hair into submission.
Blow-dry your strands straight, giving a final blast on the cool setting to seal the cuticle and maximise shine. Smooth locks over with a hot iron for extra-straight results, then use a sectioning comb to create a deep, precision side part.
The final touch? Show your feelings for your boo by adorning your ‘do with a tongue-in-cheek romantic hair clip. Because, if you can’t be naff on Feb 14th, when can you?

2. Easy power pony
Exposing your decolletage and neck, a high ponytail is a super-sexy Valentine’s Day hairstyle that requires minimal effort. You don’t want a skinny Minnie pony, though – so try this hack to achieve plenty of va-va-volume.
Stuck at work all day with a measly 15 minutes to get ready for dinner? Don’t worry. This flirty, fuss-free look requires zero prep or styling skills. In fact, it’s so easy to perfect you could do it in your Uber!
Smooth your strands into a ponytail and secure with a hair tie. Undo your last ponytail loop, twist the tie around your fingers, then split your pony into two sections. Secure the tie around the bottom section only, tighten that section, then fan the remaining hair out on top. Tighten the top section and admire your perky ponytail.
There’s nothing left to do – you’re done! We told you this one was easy as pie ☺.

3. ‘90s supermodel style
Let’s be honest – we’ve all fantasised about looking like Cindy, Naomi or Claudia from time to time. There are few things as sexy as a ‘90s supermodel – and a big, bouncy, wavy blow out’s the perfect way to channel their glamazon vibes this Valentine’s Day.
For a look this lush, you need to make sure your strands are in tip-top condition. Popping in a nourishing hair mask the night before is key. Leave in for a minimum of 10 minutes, or sleep in it overnight for ultra-soft, touchable locks.
There are a bunch of different ways to achieve this look – using a combo of hairdryer, heated brushes and old school heated and velcro rollers. Your best bet is to take to TikTok or Youtube, where there are a million and one velcro roller tutorials to guide you.
Once you’re removed your rollers, flip your hair upside down and shake out your locks. Give a quick spritz of hair spray, apply your best red lippie and go knock ‘em dead.

4. Perky pixie
Short hair isn’t short on sex appeal, either – and there are heaps of cute ways to style your pixie, bixie or bob for date night. Uninspired? Just check out TikTokker Melanie Astill for dozens of options for styling a short crop.
To texturise, control or add shine to your pixie, styling prods really are your best friend. Regular use can lead to product build-up and dull strands, however. To combat this, give your locks and scalp a deep, invigorating clean with a scalp scrub once or twice a week.
To add volume to your pixie, you’ll be using your heat tools. So, always start by prepping hair with a heat protectant spray or product (our serum protects strands up to 220°C/420°F). As for how to style, we’ll leave it to our short-haired honeys to show you how it’s done.
Again, it’s all about those styling products. Once you’ve finished with your hair tools, use your fingers and a good texturising paste to sculpt your strands into position. Finish with a blast of hairspray for all-night lift.

5. Natural curls and coils
We’re crushing on curls, big time, and Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to embrace your gorgeous natural texture. After all, as the saying goes, curls get the girls (and boys).
If your hair’s been looking limp of late, try applying a moisturising hair mask to wet hair for 30 minutes before showering. Then, for defined curls plus volume, you really need to nail your drying technique. All curly babes swear by different methods (twisting, scrunching, diffusing, plopping, finger coiling etc), so your best bet is to trawl TikTok and YouTube for someone who shares your vibe and curl type.
Once the drying’s done, all that’s left to do is let your ringlets run wild and free. Or, for a fun but elegant updo, try this Curly CaLynna-approved style. Love!
